Yeah, it's actually 1:36 a.m. on the 28th. But I figured I'd report yesterday's activity. :)
My main WIP right now is a collection of short stories, in the horror genre. This project was lost, due to a housemate fudging with my computer several months ago, and it took me a bit to get up the desire to start again.
But an idea of how to bring all the stories together (sort'a) sprung into my head, and I knew it was time to start anew! (taking better precautions, this time).
The first story in this collection, Between, seemed to take forever to write! I mean literally, some days I might've written less than a hundred words! But I was hooked on the concept, and I can't say it was writer's block! Whatever the reason, it topped off a just over 7,000 words. When I read through it, I understood why it took me so long - it was exactly as I'd wanted it!
I didn't start the second story until yesterday, currently called Lurker in the Shadows, though that might change. It's obviously going to go quicker, as I finished 1,000 words yesterday, and had to tear myself away from it to work on another project I've promised.
That other project is The Mountain Elves of Kali Omnibus, a collection of my published works on these elves. It will include one novel (Flight of the Elves), two books of short stories (Stories of the Mountain Elves, Volumes I and II), and The Shen (Elven) Language Guide.
This is my first omnibus, so I thought it would be rather easy. NOT! After connecting all four pdfs into one file and converting them to Word for editing, there proved to be a LOT of editing to do! Well, I finished editing the novel, all in one day! So maybe the project won't take too much more time. I'm planning to release it after the New Year, as soon as I can.
Well, if you took the time to read this, I thank you. Please... all comments and suggestions are welcome!
